It took a combination of 5 different stains to get something close to the rest of the cabinets. I knew it would not be easy, but didn't think it would be this tough. There's now just a bit of work to be done on the left side where the door hinges used to be. The hinges left black areas where I'm assuming some moisture got behind them and ... patina-ed.

Water!
We have usable water! Things have been a little bit crazy around here with our running back and forth to our neighbors for water. But, on Friday we got the okay from the county to start using our water. What an exciting day at our house! Michael also found a good deal on a dishwasher through work on Friday so hopefully that goes through and we will have a new dishwasher by the end of next week. :) And yes, that is my birthday present.
Saturday was a nice day so we spent our day outside working in the yard. I should clarify that "we" is Michael and I. Addie played at the neighbor's house and then went to the beach with them. Margaret spent her day playing in the jogging stroller or on my hip.
The girls are both growing like little sunflowers and changing everyday. Right now we are busy with the kitchen project, next weekend's garage sale prep, sewing diapers and working in the garden when it's not raining. We should have more photos to post soon now that we can shower whenever at our own house. LOL
